As mentioned on the History page, Clive won the Alfa Romeo Championship twice. The first time was in 1987 in a GTV 6 and again in a 75 Twin Spark. The only person to win the Championship in two different models.

Since he started racing, apart from winning two Championships, he has also had three class titles and numerous individual wins, and still wins and sets lap records today, when he manages to find time to race.

At most race meetings AVON RACING have usually got five or six racecars in attendance, brought by our own racecar transporter. The team encampment with awnings, tables, chairs etc., is a very important fixture at races, with a friendly family orientated atmosphere. The team van is equipped out as a drivers changing room, very important during inclement weather.

AVON RACING has also built up a reputation for taking on and developing novices.
