My Alfa 156 racecar, which was built by Rare Motorsport (alias Julian Birley & Co) at what appeared to be no expense spared budget and to a very high spec. Since owning the car it has been improved in many areas.

It now has a high spec engine producing well over 200bhp even on the most conservative rolling road.

It has a bacci gearbox with straight cut gears and LSD, together with several final drive ratios, which was completely rebuilt just a few months ago.

It has fully adjustable rose jointed suspension and adjustable Italian Veneri race shocks which enable it to corner at far greater speeds than I care to travel at.

I bought the car with a view to doing the Britcar series before it became so popular (expensive) and was fitted with an endurance tank and quickfill refuelling system. This year it has been further improved with 17” Team Dynamics wheels and touring car (slightly used) tyres.

Neil Smith has prepared the car in recent years and he has made it reliable and competitive although you may have to spend a little more if you want to beat Neil himself.

As with all racecars I have spent far more than its worth but as I have found to my cost much better to buy one ready to go than have it built for you.

Believe me this is a fantastic racecar with huge potential and I will be very sorry to see it go, but go it must so offers please in the region of £11,500

The car has been rebuilt with no expense spared and is in excellent condition and is able to be a winning car again as proven in Silverstone this year.

Fantastic lightweight sud with absolutely no rust or crash damage. Race log book. Taxed and tested 2 months ago, Photographic restoration carried out in the summer with full bare metal respray + new fiberglass panels (wings, bonnet,front valance and rear hatch). Recent 1732cc race engine built by dave young (circa 160bhp) with big valve heads,piper 349 cams, twin idf 40mm carbs with 34mm chokes. Oil cooler. Omex engine management and rev limiter. Limited slip diff, new QH clutch, full role cage with safety devices. Leda coil over front suspension with 2 1/2 inch diameter springs, uprated rear race springs with koni adjustable shocks. Recent ss race exhaust with life time guarentee, as new bucket seats with 5 point harness(driver) 3 point(passenger). New headlights, new racetech gauges including oil temp... This sud is probably one of the best around and has just had over 3k spent on the respray and panels... The superb condition testifies to this... £5,200.
